Nintendo Launches Nintendo Music App Exclusively for Switch Online Members
Nintendo is rolling out a new app exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online members: Nintendo Music. This app allows fans to enjoy music from popular Nintendo franchises, including Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon.
While fans eagerly await news on the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo continues to delight with unexpected releases. Recently, alongside new free games for Nintendo Switch Online and the quirky Nintendo Alarmo alarm clock, the company has now unveiled the Nintendo Music app.
Available on Android and iOS, Nintendo Music offers much more than just music streaming. The app features curated playlists centered around themes like "Powering Up," "Good Night," and "Break Time," allowing fans to enjoy a variety of tracks without manually searching for individual songs. Additionally, users can set the app to skip spoiler tracks from games they haven’t completed to avoid revealing key moments.
For those who prefer extended play, Nintendo Music allows songs to loop or play for up to 60 minutes, while track recommendations are tailored to the games users have played on their Nintendo Switch. A current Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to access Nintendo Music, though the Expansion Pack isn’t necessary. The service is also available for Family Plan members and users on temporary Switch Online free trials.
Although the app requires a separate download and isn’t part of the existing Nintendo Switch mobile app, Nintendo plans to continue adding more songs and games over time. Fans can find the app now in their smartphone’s app store.
